so im looking on ebay and i come across this. em1s only came in mr,fbp, and ebp. and only with b16s. however the vin says ej8 and not em1...yet the carfax report verifies its an si? how does this work?!

Didf you read the description? It's a CDM Si.
Edit: It MIGHT be a CDM si.
I think the seller might be misinformed. That "Si" badge looks like the CDM si badge.

its from canada.......in canada the SIR came with a b16 and the Si came with a single cam,my friends SIR is out of canada silver with b16 in it.Just my 2 cents.

Canadian SIR's come in silver. This car is not an SIR (EM1).
This is more than likely a Canadian Si (EX to us).

No, the canadian Si is exactly what our EX is for the most part. This one has been modified. The other thing that tells me that it's a Canadian car is the black mouldings. The CDM Si (our EX) has the unpainted mouldings (the US EX has painted mouldings). The prev owner put EM1 seats and cluster in the car.

No problem. Bottom line is, if you're looking for an EM1 that's isn't one. EM1's will have "EM1" in the VIN.
Good luck on your quest and buy an alarm if you do get an EM1. They are quickly becoming extinct from all the theft.
