97-98 ITR OWNERS.........
Of us, who all is still using the stock shift ****? I was just curious. I had mine off for 2 years, and for ***** and giggles, I put it back on. I missed that round tall **** w/ red stitching. I think I am going to keep it on for good now. Sorry if this is a stupid thread.
I had the carbon fiber aftermarket Acura **** on for almost a year. Felt nice & smooth, but spun around all the time. When I got my JDM shift boot, I put the stock **** back on 'cause I wanted to see the boot w/ the stitching on the ****. I liked the way it looked, & loved the sturdiness & the way it felt.
Then my car was stolen...
'97-'98 ITR stock shift **** 0wnz!

I hated the stock **** from the word "go". I found it to be too small and the stitching was too baseball like and rough for my tastes.
I had the Acura "Carbon Fiber" **** since day 3.

Well right now I'm using a Crafstman 9/16" socket as a shiftknob, I put that on to replace the lugnut **** which was excellent except for the fact that I needed the lugnut to change back to my street wheels.
Now when I actually have a DC Sports Short shifter that isn't broken (I'm about to be on my 3rd, and no I didn't pay for replacements), I still use the stock ****, it is worn on the top, but I see no reason to change it. Too bad the bastard short shifter had to break and take one of the plastic clips off the stock **** with it.

Had my stock ****, then got a Razo one. It was stolen, then I got my R34 GTR ****. Since I still need to mount it correctly I'm using the stock ****.
Personally I love the stock **** a lot. Good feel and very sturdy. I also love my R34 ****. The size fits perfectly into my hand and work great. Everyone who has tried it loves it.
Here's a interesting fact:
Notice that all really really good drivers (professional, etc...) mostly all use stock *****.
