Vafc is unnecessary.

You should REALLY spend some time researching in the forced induction forum or on d-series.org before you dive into a turbo build.

i would personally ditch the vafc and get a more reliable tuning scource such as hondata or crome, something along those lines. when it comes to tuning you do not want to skimp out, although some people do run just vafc's, i personally wouldn't recommend it. do some searching around, you'll find plenty of info for tuning.

Wasn't there just a thread a few days ago about a guy who lost all his vafc memory when he replaced the battery?

Also, I could tell you about my friend's sob story involving the vafc, but I think you should just trust everyone else as well, when we recommend against the vafc, and just get it tuned with hondata or crome.

IMHO, if you can't find the Forced Induction forum before making a post, more than likely you're too lazy to do the proper 'song and dance' to keep a turbo car from blowing up. In other words, READ THE FI SUBFORUM!

I agree, the programs I've worked with are

Hondata
Crome
and Neptune

Neptune is THE BOMB. If I were going for a cheaper one, i'd go with crome though, because it's free and easy to use, even for someone tuning on their own.
