97 type r $25k
hello, im new on here and was wondering how much do you guys think a 1997 type r would cost with 800 miles? I'm pretty sure its only 800 miles on the chassis and the only modifiation he did was a cat-back. I think he might be asking 25-30k. Is that too much for a 1997 with 800 miles on the chassis? It's a guy asking advice prices for it and he is selling it for his father-in-law. Here's the website for it.. orangecounty.craigslist.org/car/353230747.html
Thanks
wish i could get it for 22k but i doubt it..

Here's a fun excercise... Call your bank, give them the VIN number, and tell them how much you want for a '97 Integra... Wait for laughter.
My point, it would be worth it to the right person, with CASH. Your average Honda fan boy would not have the means to get that car, myself included.
However, I would say it would be easily worth $22,000-$25,000, but once again, to the right buyer.

dealerships will pay that price because they know the value of the car and they will sell it for 35 - 40k but depends on dealerships my local one ofereed me 18 for what i haddone to it but thats mine everyones is different

if that car only has 800 miles on it, and you bought it for 25K+, I think you would be silly to DRIVE it. someone would easily buy that as a collector car, for 25-30K+. a 97 ITR with low miles like that COULD be an investment, unlike most of the other beaten, high mileage, modified ITRs we all love to drive. the only way an ITR will ever gain value or be a collector car is if its stock and has very low miles.
and like others have said, I wont believe it til I see it.

He would have been better off taking the 25K and investing in Honda STOCK not a Honda car.
He would have made 4x in that time. Unless someone is willing to throw down $100K for the type R in 10 yrs, he's way better off investing it.
Collecting cars for profit is pretty much retarded.
