leave ATLEAST a 1 finger gap between the tire and fender and it might just make it

16's will look plenty big on an EG style car. You start to lose performance when you go into 17's because many are likely heavy. IMO, 16's are a good balance of looks and performance. Less expensive for the good brands too.

In my opinion 16's look too big on eg's. I couldn't imagine 17's.
If you really want to do it, go for it. Or don't ask us.

Like doody. If you really have your heart set on putting 17's on your car and dropping her 1.5in, do it. However, make sure you talk to a wheel specialist about your concerns with rubbing. They can help you out with info on offsets and tire combos in conjuction with the camber caused by your drop to minimize rubbing. You can also look into how to roll your fenders. You should do alright as long as you are patient and take the proper preparational steps.

^^ x2

Hey Op, ever see a Cutlass with 24' or 26' rims? Well if you have, use that as to what your car would look like with 17's. With a long travel suspension set up i think you would be clear for a rally course
