Default 01 Type-R

Hey guys...just registered for the site a couple days ago. Just a quick question though...my boss just bought a 01 Type-R with only 39,000 miles on it and wants to sell it, but we don't know what they typically go for....Based upon what he bought it for, he thinks we should ask like 21,995 for it but does that seem way out of the going rate for these or not really? The thing is mint and practically stock, just an intake/exhaust and a head unit. A little help from you guys would be great since we're likely not going to sell it to any ol' joe schmoe.

I would definitley be scooping it up but I just picked up a 04 6spd TL a couple months ago and freakin lovvvve it. Don't know if I could sacrifce luxury for rarity haha

I was looking on autotrader and I saw 2000's with 70 and 80k miles goin for 18500-19000 so it seems like we are in the ballpark especially with a year newer and half the mileage. But again, what do you guys think we should ask for this rare car? Would the fact that my dealership offers a warranty increase the value a little bit too?? Any help is appreciated...Thanks in advance guys.

you can ask 22, but I'd suspect you'll sell it for 18-19.

He will get around 17+-k for it.
People can be asking 22k but they rarely get their asking price.

That seems about right. Maybe even 17K. Black might fetch a bit more than yellow.

well thats a little disappointing as we have more than 18 into it. It is black though...and right now its getting a professional detail out at our shop which costs us 400 bucks but it will look brand new. It is def a sweet car, but I haven't had the pleasure of driving it yet. I'm waiting till my trial mode thing is up so I can post it in the classifieds.....my dealerships location isn't the best for tuner cars so we won't have much luck selling it out on the lot.... :/

If he's not in a rush to sell it, put it up for $21,000 Firm and just wait for the buyer, he'll eventually come for it with that low of miles.

$22K? Only way I'd pay $22k for that car is if your boss was the original owner and if it had 10 times less miles (~4k). But I guess you never know. Put it up for what you want, but like others have said, you'll end up with ~$18-ish.

Why not keep it and have both.

Snap, I can't get PM's since I'm still on a trail mode....It told me when I registered that in 5 days I would have full access and its been 7 days. Shoot me an email at Boostedawd@gmail.com when you get a chance.

Admins, if you see this, could you fix this or let me know how much longer I have to wait...? Thanks..
