Default Help me: Suspension

I am getting this knocking noise from the front of my car on both sides. This happens when my wheel hits a speed hump at very low speed. It also happens on speed strips.

My mechanic friend tells me it is my front upper A-arm bushing which needs to be replaced. Another friend tells me it is A-arm ball joint. Which is it?

I was considering getting energy bushings to replace the a-arm bushings but I have a generic A-arm camber kit. Do all camber kits have the same bushing size as that of OEM?

How is anyone actually supposed to give you an answer without inspecting the car... come on.

Just jacked the front end of my car and shook everything from lower arm, upper arm to tie rod. There was no slack or free play. There was very very slight free play in the tie rod though. Checked the ball joints and there was no sign of grease leakage. What could it be?

I second this.

In my experience, an intermittent "clunk" is usually related to end links.

end links will give you some weird noise for sure.

seen it on a bunch of toyotas.

on mid 90's camrys the rear ones tend to made alot of noise with age you would swear the struts were gonna fall out..

one of the most neglected parts i nthe suspension are the little items

Will try removing my sway bar when I have the time. With it removed, the sound should be gone. Give you guys posted.
