just drove my friends SAAB boosting 25psi wow!
this is the fist turbo car that I have driven it was bad *** he has done a ton of work on it bigger turbo front mount bigger injectors etc it runs 14's but it is a blast to drive and a sweet sleeper tell me what you guys think of it i know I know its no honda.
its alot of fun to drive its just comes alive when you step into it! he is able to run 25 psi because he uses aquamist water injection!

Did you know that the old saabs only had high 7:1 compression? No joke!
They upped it into the 8.x:1 range later as the fuel management got better....
And yeah, they run almost 1bar stock.

The first 911 Turbos only had like 6.5 to 1 compression. Saab came up with a great solution for boost. It's an electric device that senses detonation and instantly retards timing. People swap them onto their old school turbo volvos because they work so well. I magine a $20 junkyard J&S Safegaurd.

Not exactly, its actually an electronic boost controller. (the newer models do include timing retard as well though). It raises/lowers boost in relation to detonation. Saab APC (auto performance control). There is one in my engine bay right now... about to go online
