NEED HELP! There's something on my paint.
Ok...
There seems to be this stuff on my car and I have NO idea what it is. There are tons of tiny brown spots all over my car. My car is white so it's easy to see if you're up close. At first it started on the back of my car, on the hatch. Then I started seeing this stuff all over the car but it's still mostly on the rear with small spot throughout the car's exterior.
I tried washing the crap out of the car, waxing, and I just tried to claybar it. Nothing works. The dots are the color of Rust I guess but this is a brand new car so it's not rust [I guess] and I did manage to take just a few of these dots off... there has got to me hundreds of them. You can't see them until they're maybe 6 inches from your eyes but I notice everything
Any ideas? Any help would be highly appreciated

You have any pics?
It can be tiny specs of tree sap...my car had some and it was not easy to come off if it's been on for a while...or it can be road tar...maybe from driving on a newly paved road???
I dunno...just my guess.

I thought about both of those but I don't park under a tree [not often anyway] and it's only mostly on the rear of the car with most of that being on the hatch.
I tried to take pictures but the dots are so small even in macro mode they didn't show up so well. I'll try again tomorrow.

I forgot all about that forum. A mod should know better
Doesn't hurt to have a thread in here since you guys always have shiny paint while hard parkin'

Nope. The only time I got any of them off was when I hit them with the claybar... REALLY hard. That only worked for a few... not enough to make a difference.

Ouch...what car is it? Im guessing a new Fit (looking at your sig)....maybe theres a flaw in the factory paint job?...I doubt it though...hmmm....I'm stumped on this...lol
I've had the same problem at a detail shop I work at with a brand new white GT500. Try some rubbing compound and a buffer; they'll come out. I used to talk to you at the races back when you had the coupe; contact a local dealership and get some ARDEX detail supplies. Theyre out of philadelphia; but only dealers and detail shops can get it; They make very high quality wax/compounds; If you need anything else hit me up.
