Power Antenna Replacement help
So my power antenna on my 1996 Prelude went out a few days ago, and its been stuck in the on position ever since. I can hear the motor running when i turn the radio on/off, so im not concerned about that. HOWEVER, i am having major problems removing the antenna mast.
Per the service manual instructions, ive removed the special nut, spacer, and bushing. After that the antenna just seems stuck, am i supposed to do anything else at this point? or is that enough to simply pull the antenna out. Even with a good amount of force, the antenna doesnt budge.
what am I doing wrong here?? It looks simple from the service manual, but i dont get it

from inside your trunk, you'd have to unscrew the antenna motor itself. its held on with a bolt or two, its a pain because in a hard spot but fairly easy. you can hear the motor running still because there is a plastic "chain" kind of thing that is pushed and pulled by the motor, raising and lowering antenna. that plastic chain probably just broke.
so from inside the trunk, undo the motor itself, and i think you can just pull it out from the inside of the trunk. you area replacing it anyway right? break off the antenna if it helps.

Yup, thats exactly what happened. The antenna's plastic gear thing broke inside of the motor.
I found this online, definitely helped.
