b-20 v tec with what kinda head???????

Default b-20 v tec with what kinda head???????

what the hell i cant decide on what kinda head to get to put on a 91 CRX with a b-20 and a type-R transmission.

My understanding is that a b16 head will give you higher compression than a b18c1 - I'm not positive on a b18c5 head, but if you can afford one, go that route - better valvetrain....

b16 head cause it is cheaper and easyer to find. i understand it also flows better on the b20z and b20b blocks.

i think you meant b18c1 higher comp (welded chambers). b16/b18c5 same head casting = same compression, if you are going to leave it stock get a newer b16 head the type R head is too hard to get and too expensive, stay away from early 1st gens and a/t heads, 12 year old valve springs aren't that reliable....if you are going to do a full build w/ p+p i would recomend a b18c1 (gsr) head it's dyno proven and will flow the same/more than a comparable b16 head..

and as dustin said..........have fun w/ the hydro tranny
