crx rear wheel hub replacement
Ok so I couldn't find that 32mm everyone talks about. I did find a 15/16" nut so i guess thats like 23-24mm, its on the rear side, of the assembly, also I found 4 10mm bolts holding on the dust shield and there are four torx bolts on the rear that look like they hold on the caliper bracket (didn't remove the torx don't have the proper size). This hub won't come off, is it just seized on? the thing spins fine, but when I tug and pull and beat I can't get it off. alrighty, thanks.
drum right? turn down the adjuster stars, should come right off. you can also use long bolts through the hub in the two hole provided, or release the fluid from the wheel cylinder in the back. also search it's been covered a million times. a manual is also very helpful.
no this is for the Si disc swap. I have the TAs off the car and I am trying to swap out the bearings before I mount them to my chassis. The search blows ***. you find me a half decent thread that says more than remove 32mm nut, pull out, replace whole assembly, and i'll read that instead of asking for help from people who've actually done the procedure.
For the rears, the Honda dealer sells the bearings within the Hubs as one unit. So it is a lot easier than the fronts. No pressing involved, just remove and replace. I have done this on TAs with drums and it is super easy. I don't think TAs with discs could be that much different.
exactly...it's pretty cut and dry...take off the hub nut cover, take off the nut, washer and pull off the wheel bearing/hub assembly and put a new one on...id also get a new washer, nut, and cap...
well the nut being the big one on the back side? if so I took that one off, and beat the shaft it screwed onto and it did not budge one bit...should I soak it in WD40 over night and see how that works?

well hot damn....i should've removed the hub unit cap...apparently underneath the hub unit cap is a 22mm nut which allows for the removal of the hub assembly...i suppose i'll do that tomorrow. Though I did try to remove the hub unit cap today with a flathead screwdriver, didn't budge, tomorrow i'll try to some channel locks. I guess i'll take pics for everyone, maybe even do a video that way its pretty clear whats going on.
