Default Need some help fast Accord motor idles really wierd!!

I did a quick search but i didn't find any definite answers...
The car:94 honda accord automatic w/4 clinder f22b2
Recient maintenance: New vaccume lines, intake/exhaust mani gaskets, head gasket, valve cover gasket, timing belt/tentioner, balanceshaft belt/tentioner, oil pump and all seals, oil pan gasket, rear main seal.

Since i put the new motor in it idles great when it is cold and then when it warms up it drops down really low so I thought it may be the valves needing adjustment so my friend came over and did the valves for me. But now when it warms up it idles worse and then if i turn it off it won't start back up.... i have to wait 5 minutes or so for it to start back up.

My question is: Do you guys think he got the valves too tight? would that cause it? or could it be an ignition problem such as the coil or the module since their performance can be effected by the heat?

I know i should have checked for spark last night but i didn't think of it t the time...but if the coil of module is bad it still can send spark(just not enough to start the car) any help is much appreciated.

whoa wait a minute..the problem got worse after a valve adjustment?
Tech Line says noisy valves are happy valves...did your friend crank the intake valves down too tight? That would cause a warm 'hard' start problem no doubt.
Did your 'Friend' have feeler gauges?
But the 5 minute wait for restarting could lead to other problems; like ignition switch contacts falling out.
Further diagnose is needed to find the exact problem.
Best to listen for fuel pump run when key is turned on...then be able to check for spark when 'no start' condition occurs.

Yea, there was no problem before we did the valves. He did have the gague. I think we will have to try again and go from there.
