Okay so i just wanted to see what you guys would do or think about this. A guy is selling a 98 cw type r shell for 4g. The body is pretty clean but lil dings n dents here n there nothing crazy, missing the front end,no motor,no front or rear seats n without the wheels. I do have front itR n rear seats for it and ctr cw wheels i can throw on...so i would need to get a motor and front end. Now is this a good deal for that price or should i offer him less then the asking price? all help are welcome.. thanks

I personally think that's to much.

 

if its clean title.... then eh... kinda but there really isnt much there, factor in 3-4k in paint and bodywork alone, sideskirts, front end, glass, moldings, stickers, etc, if you wanna do it right. dont me to scare you away lol

 

hmnn if you know someone who knows how to PDR it might not be a bad deal

What dose PDR mean?


If i do get it i will get jdm itr front end and jdm itr swap..that is my plan sofar.

I know some people that works at a bodyshop, so im pretty sure i can take care of the dings n dings later on.

 

Thats a lot for just a shell. When I hear ITR first comes to mind is the B18C5 and the wing. You got the wing but no motor.

 

I do think that is a bit much for a shell as well... Try and talk him down to like $3200-$3400, buy it and rebuild it.

Don't care how clean the shell is, 4k is a lot of a shell.

 

Was this car stolen and stripped?

Im not sure but he said they were Rsx wheels but if i buy the shell that the wheels wont come with them.

 

have you tried talking him down at all?

I think the front seats and rear seats were stolen but replace back,front end was sold and motor was hydrolocked.

Are those the original miles? But even for a clean shell with clean title and nice miles I wouldn't pay 4k for it, maybe 3k-ish.
