Default magnetic drain bolts?

what are your opinions on these?
i can get one as low as 15 shipped.
one bad thing i heard is that they magnatize the oil pan and after a long period of time t
-he pan will become a magnet itsself and you will need to flush the pan out to get rid of the crap stuck to it.

I have never heard of it magnetizing the whole oil pan, that's ridiculous. You should be able to find them much cheaper at your local Pepboys or Autozone type of store.

Honda uses them in most transmission or differential drain plugs and they definitely build up metal. That one Bulli Kid posted is much stronger than what Honda uses. Probably overkill but it couldn't hurt.

Not to be mean or anything, but you are by far the most oil conscience person I think I have ever seen. LOL

It's good that you really care about your investment in that car though.

I have also seen the magnets that are placed on the side of the oil filter. My concern about using a magnet on the oil filter was the uncertainty over whether or not it would pull the relief valve open, or to the point that it would leak by. I guess my concern here would be that using such a strong magnet may somehow affect something internally inside the motor. I know these concerns border on paranoid, but perhaps others share them as well?

I had to do a double-take at first. I thought you had pulled out and disassembled your engine....LOL. You may want to check out Prima Epic synthetic wax at Detailers Paradise.

Mag drain bolts are a good idea on any car, and don't worry about magnetizing the oil pan, cause you won't. You can find the trans/oil bolts for good prices online too

Quote, originally posted by Wikipedia.com »

Run-on sentence

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A run-on sentence is a sentence in which two or more independent clauses are joined without punctuation or conjunctions. Some modern authors have used them knowingly for effect, but they are considered punctuation errors.

For example:

It is nearly half past five we cannot reach town before dark.

There are several acceptable ways to correct this:

Insert a semicolon between the clauses:
It is nearly half past five; we cannot reach town before dark.

Write the two clauses as two separate sentences:
It is nearly half past five. We cannot reach town before dark.

Insert a comma and a conjunction between the clauses:
It is nearly half past five, and we cannot reach town before dark.

It is not correct to simply insert a comma between the clauses; this results in a comma splice.
