no constant power at HU
I'm having a problem installing a typical CD deck. The problem is that I connected all the wires to all correct connections and the deck don't have any power coming through.
So my solution is to cross the orange and red wires therefore giving me power. But this also cause another problem, every time I take my keys out of the ignition my clock and CD deck reset itself.
Do I have a wiring problem within the car itself? Any resolution would help
Thank you

Did you buy the wiring harness or did you hard wire it into the stock radio harness? If so here is the stock wiring diagram:
Radio 12v white/blue (+) radio harness
Radio Ground black (-) radio harness
Radio Ignition yellow/red (+) radio harness
Radio Illumination red/black (+) radio harness
Factory Amp Turn-on N/A
Power Antenna N/A
LF Speaker =blue/green (+), gray/black (-) radio harness
RF Speaker = red/green (+), brown/black (-) radio harness
LR Speaker = blue/yellow(+), gray/white (-) radio harness
RR Speaker = red/yellow (+), brown/white (-) radio harness
After you have checked and are sure the connections are correct then there are two 7.5A fuses that you should check. One is in the fuse box under the dash and the other is in the fuse box in the engine bay.

It is more than likely the fuse that is blown. If the fuse blows out when he replaces it or as soon as he powers on the HU then I would double check the wiring.

Ditto the above, check the 7.5A fuse in the engine bay fuse box, may also be called "backup", also what is the amperage of the fuse in the HU or on the yellow line.
What is the make and model of the HU?
