usdm type r tranny w/ 4.785 final drive?

any of you guys have this combination? can you finish the 1/4 mile without shifting into 5th? thanks.

we run that same combo, and run it out in 4th...

you guys think i would be able to run it out in 4th with 205/50/15 tires and around 270 at the wheels, fuel cut 8900.

according to this gear speed calc. you will only be going 117 @ 8900 with that trans/4.75 final.(23.4 inch tire)

i go to barely hit redline(9200) in 4th on a usdm type r trans with jdm final... but thats on 225/50/15s drag radials.

Im using this trans in my DD. Ive got my rev-limit set low (8200) rpms and i was trapping 111 at the top of 4th gear on 205/50/15's....... Im pretty sure i top out at about 114-115 hitting 8200rpms......

I would think you would be fine......
