Default Philk's 88 crx dx with b16 hardly nothing to something project!

Well I've been around here on H-T for about a year and I have recieved a ton of help of several people on here and well i never showed anyone how much the work has payed off so i will start out with some pictures of how the car sat when i got it of the dumb owner

I counted back the car has had 7 owners and it was red,white,green,purple,primer grey and flat black

Anyways what im trying to say is that the car was through alot of the years, its been riced, beat on, swapped motors and cut up

On with the story ------------>>
<center>

Here is the sunroof that i have no idea what it came out of and i have no idea what to do about it, i will later you show you my temporary design

3/4" of what i think is to be bondo that i had to grind off, that took about a full day.

After i got the car TOWED to my house (Engine never worked and I never tried to get it to run) I started tearing everything out of the engine bay and ready for a new engine. Knowing i was gonna have everything out of the engine bay and i had the some spare of the color of paint im planning on, i decided to paint the engine bay. I was always bothered by a painted car with a different color bay

And so i sealed it, why didnt i primer it, dont ask me im stupid but it came out good

This is after the paint and the clear, I did know buffing or wet sanding and I am not going to do any sanding or buffing. Its just the engine bay

This is the first phase of my car after i got the bay painted i threw the engine in. (dpfi to mpfi and all the vtec wiring what not, soldered and heat shrink let me add)
I then just flat blacked the car, i mean i needed something to drive, that was about 20 bucks I got rid of the no name rims and put some from a 93 integra se (50 bucks for the rims and 300 for new tires) I did do a wire tuck but there is simply not enough room under the dash for it and it was an inconvienance have thing fuse box under the glove box, i just put the fuse box back under the hood and i left all the headlight wiring through the fender

And as of today this is how the car sits, its almost in the final stages for paint just waiting on a better passenger side fender i like the 90-91 front bumper a little better so i am just gonna keep that on there for now and the same for the back bumper

I absolutly agree, i missed that part, anyways the sunroof is from another car, thats how it was when i bought the car except when i got the car the glass from the sun roof was broken out, i couldnt find any glass shops around here that would fit the sun roof so my second option was plexiglass lol... anyways its temporary and i have no knowledge of welding, so if anyone has any suggestions im open

Glass top swap anyone?

Not bad, I looked, I'm glad I don't have that much bondo to contend with before I really get to rolling on the heavy bodywork I have.

I still need to learn to use a welder too though.

yea its all gonna be that blue its call electric blue pearlcoat (I think is pretty similiar to the 99 civic si blue) I'm just looking for a set of new fenders to put on the car, I found a couple 90-91 fenders but i think they are different from 88-89's so im still looking

After i get the car painted im gonna put a little more into the interior, there is over spray all over the place from a previous owner, i guess i would have to take closer pics for all to see, but anyways i might just respray it all black. Duplicolor fabric paint works wonders for interior respray

I wish..... Played forza 2 yet? the jdm crx body trim lines are unaligned, no glass top and no SiR spoiler I bought the crx, 611hp with f20c motor lol. good game otherwise though lol..

New engine, new upper control arms, new coilovers, new axles, new mounts, new tires, all electical is professional grade - soldered and heatshrink wrapped..... Also new lower control arm bushing, upper and lower ball joints, pass side, tie rod, battery... Spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor are all new.

Needs to brake pads, and sunroof and windshield leak and will need to be replaced....I had the windshield estimated at 140 bucks for them to come to my house and replace it..... anyways..

Runs great, no leaks does not over heat...

jdm B16a with y1 tranny and y1 halfshaft.... (3rd gear grinds when shifting at high rpms...)

Pictures will say everyone so check out the link!
