have a 06 DX which came with no stereo. Bought a stock EX stereo at auction and have the right wiring harnesses wired up. I plug it in but no power seems to be getting to the stereo, it doesnt turn on. Checked the fuse and its fine. what do i do now?

 

You need what is called "antenna sub-feeder attachment". It has a pin that needs to be inserted into the stereo wiring harness.

Third one down on this page shows the tuner kit and lists the feeder. Doesn't look like they offer it seperately. Check a local dealership, my catalog shows it should cost a little over $20.

 

just out of curiousity if you went through all the pain in removing the dash to gain acess why the heck did you put stock stereo? Also another problem you didnt consider once its powerd on its going to ask CODE!!! how are you going to get it if you bought the stereo off somewhere else? unless it came with the code you wont have radio .... if i was you put aftermarket stereo really any pos stereo is alot better then stock stereo oh and while your at it put some rca's

Car came without a stereo. i dont really care about what i put in it, i just want to listen to my cds. i have the anti-theft card so when i get it to power up, i can put the code in, i just cant get power to it for some reason. hopefully the antenna sub-feeder attachment does the trick.

 

i have the oem honda cd player for the civic dx in mint condition (they sell on their website for 200 some thing dollars)

want to buy mine for cheap?

it's a direct drop-in install for the civic (i have a 06 civic dx too)
