Default converted us spec R's.. 98 to 97 or 97 to 98??

whos done this?

for example.. a 97 owner may like the newer 98+ front and rear bumpers or a 98 owner may want to convert his/her car to look like a 97.. just curious .. obviously these r for owners of cw type r's..

One thing for sure, very few to none '97 Type R owners would want to convert their '97 into '98.

I have a foot cocked and ready to kick some *** to the idiot who put a 98+ front end on a 97R. To each his own, but this is one of those cases where you just leave the damn thing alone.

dont convert your 98 to a 97

keep em original

but if you really like it, its easy to switch it back

^ Oh boy, I can't wait 'til the JDM front end guys see this, haha.

I think aesthetics are important, but it's difficult for me for justify spending $3,000 or so on a JDM front end... That's me personally. I mean ****, that's quite a few performance parts in my eyes... Or hell, that's a 12 second DSM, haha.

I've often daydreamed of buying a '00-'01 PY shell and putting the '97 front on it, and then painting the whole thing MR.

I don't care for the '98+ front (or rear) end, but I wouldn't convert one unless I had to buy new parts anyway.

What I would love to do:

-Salvage '98 Type-R
-Painted BMW metallic gold
-Paint matched 16" TE-37s
-"GOLDRUSH" on the license plate
-And about 500whp

A total, and complete bastardization of a Type-R.
