Are CKF sensors OBD proprietary?
So I just built an LS/V w/ an obd1 block and crank in a 96 LS Integra. I initially used the stock OBD2 p75 computer to break it in and there was a CEL. The only code it was throwing was for the CKF sensor. I am using the crank sprocket from the OBD1 block and the CKF sensor that was on the OBD2 motor. As soon as I plugged in my p28, there was no CEL. I haven't tried using the crank sproket from the obd2 motor yet to see what happens.
THe reason I was asking is because I need the OBD2 computer plugged in to pass emissions w/ no codes.

Not necessarily, It's just for TDC and RPM. Just like the hall effect s/w in the old dizzy's
To the OP It might just be to far away from the sprocket. and not picking up the signal.

The CKF is an OBD2 only thing. The CKP resides up inside the distributor with the TDC and CYL sensors. He asked if the CKF was specific to an OBD generation - which it is.

I will eventually put the newer crank sprocket on to see what happens. Just not looking forward to it as it is a pain in the bitch to get to.
I might just end up doing the jumper wire trick to eliminate the OBD2/CKF thing.
