my friend is slowly getting his car back together and he needs an intercooler, we were wondering if a spearco intercooler with the core dimensions of (3.5"Dx18.8"Wx8.375"H) is that big enough to support 600whp?? on this site (http://www.turboneticsinc.com/ic_cores.htm) it says that core is good to 670hp but i just dont see it as feasable

FYI....I have found that most hp ratings on intercoolers are flywheel HP, not wheel hp.
So figure about 50hp less than what it says is about the max wheel hp it can see.

the old intercooler is just as thick, 1 inch shorter and 6 inches longer....i doubt tube and fin is going to make an intercooler efficient with 150 more hp

i guess its just not worth it for him to use this than if the core is efficient to 600fwhp and he is wanting to put down close to that with his set-up to the wheels

670fwhp-50=620whp, so it would probably be close
