Default Official Nitrous-Prelude 1/4 mile & Dyno thread......

Nitrous Preludes only please:

JDM H22A-Stock bottom end and headwork(196whp/160tq N/A)
NOS 75-100 shot Wet with NOS Cheater Solenoids
MSD Dig6
VAFC2/Katman Chipepd ECU
Skunk2 Stage 1 cams & VT/GE Cam Gears
Vibrant header/Greddy SP2 Exhaust/AEM SRi
Quaife LSD/Exedy Clutch/Gator3 Axles
BFG Drag Radials 225/50/15 on RotaSlips 15x6.5

75 shot/+-0* timing/1step colder plugs
251whp/258tq & 249whp/249tq<<---Showing inconsistency with Nitrous
No 1/4 mile times run as I got GREEDY!!!

100 shot/-4* timing/1 step colder plugs
100 shot/-3* timing/2 step colder plugs
267whp/240tq&lt;&lt;---Less TQ than 75 shot but lasted longer
13.37@108mph spraying for a split second at the top of 1st and spinning into 2nd.
Obviously some work on launching would have helped in the 12sec quest.
For late this summer I will be using a 2 stage system with an NOSzle System Direct Port and NOS Wet. Planning a 35-50 shot 1st stage from the Wet and another 50-65 shot 2nd stage from the NOSzle system.
I will post Dyno sheets when I am able to scan them.....Heres my best slip for now!
2.2 60'ers Notice how that Auto Corvette got killed in the top end!

And please guys.......use PMs when possible and keep the Non-nitrous Prelude questions out of here. I don't want this thread butchered. I started it because I have had many many Prelude owners contact me regarding Nitrous use and feel we can all share our experiences......No flaming please as we are all learning here and I will personally send an E-Bomb to your computer if you do.

Dyno's should be coming soon

H23
I/H/E
60 shot (or 100)

to retard the timing: loosen the 3 distributor bolts, and rotate the distributor clockwise. how much do i rotate it???

p.s. i have 1 15lb bottle, and that will last me about 7-10 runs on a 60

Jared, base timing on a lude is 15 deg fyi.

The baller **** is my dad's snap on timing light, it has an electric advance computer in it, so I can set it whatever I want. So I can set the base timing, then advance the light 15 deg and watch it flash on the TDC mark. Its the **** lol

^not when im matching times of people who have spent thousands of dollars on their n/a builds

OK!

fastest time was.....*insert drum roll*

not what i expected, but

60' 2.330
330 6.186
1/8 9.269
mph 79.59
1/4 14.115
@ 102.01 mph

i was hoping to get into the 13's but after about 5 runs my times just progressivly got slower, finally ending at a LAME 15.1

are there any nozzle placements that work better than others??

mine is coming up to the under side of the intake about 6" from the throttle body. would it work better if it was on the top of the intake, or on the sides??

Mine is on the top....I don't think thats as important as making sure the nozzle is pointed in the right direction.
Are you running WET? Supposedly DRY setups benefit from having the nozzle mounted as far away from the throttle body as possible.-----near the filter.

lol thanks for the bump

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 95greenlude &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">well i definatly backed up my 13.951 with a 14.066, 14.081, and a 14.015 at the beginning of the night

then set my new Personal Best.

R/T- .373
60' - 2.259
330- 5.991
1/8- 9.044
mph- 80.59
1000- 11.664
1/4- 13.880
mph- 101.71

it was a slower run speed wise, probably cause my shifting was kinda slow all day long, but it had a WAY better 60'. even though it rained, and was REALLY humid.

so there you have it 13.880 @ 101
</TD></TR></TABLE>
