Default body kit suggestions..

Im looking to put a nice kit on my 99 civic coupe. I don't want an agressive 2fast2furius lookin kit. More Euro lookin. Ive seen one person's orange civic that had a nice front bumper in the "garage", but I can't find that kids profile no more. Not looking to do a whole kit just front bumper any suggestions...pix if possible. thanks

Back Yard Special.

Pretty much the only body kit I like. You need a big FMIC to make it look good though.

I agree, the ~$1000 he'd spend on even a BYS could be better spent IMO on suspension or a build.

The important thing is to find what suits you best. This might mean buying something that your friends will think is cool, and/or it might mean buying something that others will laugh at. How much this matters to you is your own decision.

JMHO... Since you only plan on getting a new Front Bumper, you should consider how "out of place" a really "aggressive" Bumper may/not look. Many are sold with the use of other Body Mods in mind (sides, rear).

Another thing to consider is how your car is used. If you're travelling on rough roads, then it wouldn't make sense to spend $$$ on anything that will get beat to death.

Maybe all your car needs to round out its look is a Front Lower Lip... They are much less expensive than Bumpers, MUCH easier to install/remove, and have less of a clash-factor than replacing your whole Front Bumper (whether you go OEM/JDM/whatever)... Do what works best for *you*.

No matter what, you'll probably get better feedback in the Appearance/Cosmetic Forum:

Dood... THOSE CARS LOOK FAST!!!!!

Have Fun!

Try the appearance/cosmetics forum.

Since they're all into cosmetics 'n ****, they'd probably know better than here - this is a tech forum.

99.9% of us were ricers once, we've all once hated ourselves for buying "body kits" and "neons."

Just trying to save you time/money/headache/humility.

If you really want it and find one that flows well, then more power to you. Just hope your paint matches and the SOB actually fits.

If you are dead set on getting a body kit at least don't get anything with style in the description.

I hope you get the point that ever body is telling you that your better off without a bodkit!! However, I would suggest that you get lips if your looking for a hint if style on your civic.

Here's what the hole in my pocket it going to look like in the next month or two ha!

have you considered just going for a lip? They look a lot better to me. Plus body kits, or a lot of bodykits depending on the type have horrible fitment, and they flake and chip easy. It's not as expensive to paint a lip.

I'm sorry for bumping a old thread, but can you still find the Purple Speed lip? I've tried googling, but I personally couldn't come up with anything.

I honestly like the c-west kits. If you want to downgrade to a cheaper one than try the ripoff cw kit from ait or andy's auto sport.
