I have a 91 si hatch with the b16a. I'm starting to get a topend tick, and everyone is telling me its my oil pump going out. I was wondering if anybody can tell me how to replace it. I'm a bike tech so i'm mechanically inclained, but i have never done a oil pump on a car. I assume i'll have to drop my oil pan, But what else is involved? How hard is it? Or dose anyone have a walk through they can send me? Also what oil pump should i buy?

also i would attempt to figure it out myself but i have no clue on what manual to get its a 91 si hatch with a b16a swap. help.

 

this is for a b18c1, but the b16 should be very similiar if not identical

 

you also have to remove the timing belt and timing belt cover
