i was taking my car out today with a friend... and i usually never hit vtec cause gas is so damn expensive but he wanted to hear it...... it seems to hit fine at 4.4k but i can only hear the secondary butterfly's hit at 6? is there something that i need to check..oil is fine that's the only thing that came to my mind

 

stock?? its a lot easier to hear the secondaries open than vtec engaging

 

I'm not really sure what you're asking. You said that VTEC engages at 4400 (which it should), and you can hear the secondaries open around 6000 (5750 is the correct RPM). It seems as if everything is functioning as it should.

 

alright just checking lol and yeh the car is completely stock

 

u cant hear vtec on a stock gsr

 

if you want to hear your vtec engage on a stock gsr, open up your airbox and run open header.

 

You can BARELY hear it if you listen carefully.

But according to your description, everything is as it should be.
