Hello fellow Honda nuts,
I have not paid much attention to the market so I need some opinions. I have a clean 88 CRX HF with the following mods. It is now a matter of money as opposed to pride in the car as whole. It is one of the nicest cars I have built. But, at my age it is time to move on.
My question is:
Part it out or sell it whole?
ENGINE/TRANNY
B18C5 (U.S.) sleeved and bored to 85 mm (all machine work done by Benson's Performance Machine)
Balanced crank
Eagle H-beam rods
CP pistons (approx. 12.3:1 comp)
ITR head ported and polished w/ combustion chambers matched to 85mm
Crower Springs and retainers (99% sure on these)
Jun 3 cams
STR cam seal
All seals, etc. were brand new when engine was built.
YS-1 GS-R tranny with Quaife LSD
Jun flywheel
JDM ITR header with stainless shield (forgot maker)
RS*R ex-mag
Suspension
1992 GS-R suspension and brakes with master cylinder
Progress full coilovers
Suspension techniques rear sway bars
Cusco upper rear strut bar
Neuspeed upper front strut bar
Custom JimFab bar to fit ITR header (Hasport engine mounts)
Energy Suspension bushings
Integra radiator
Battery moved to rear compartment
VIS racing carbon fiber rear hatch with FAL flex-a-lite glass professionally installed
Sparco driver's seat
Teqnik removable steering wheel

</TD></TR></TABLE> same here...OP can you do a different method of hosting. But to answer your question regardless, you will get more money parting it out, but a headache of dealing with random flakers, lowballers, and douchebags. Also you have to put up with the waiting period for every part to go, and most likely in 2 years you will still have some left over...GL and from the text it looks like a nice car.
