Default Engine cooling fan

1995 honda accord LX

Okay, yesterday after I had been out ruuning errands for about an hour when I came out of the last place, my cooling fan was so noisy that I literally thought I hadnt turned off my engine... my second thought was- if its not off- why the hell does it sound so bad? I got over the blond moment (my keys were in my hand- so duh- lol) I got in it to start it up and it did so just fine. I drove the short distance home- and popped the hood to see what was up. The noise seems to be coming from my engine fan that kicks on and off all like it should.... I have never had any problems with it before- everything in the engine (aside from usual maintenance things) is its original parts, nothing refurbished, rebuilt etc.
Is it possible something got in there? Does anyone know if this is an atypical thing? Could it have something to do with the temperature of the engine itself or the fact that it has been as hot as the surface of the sun in sacramento lately?
Any feedback is appreciated. And if anyone has an exploding diagram from a chilton- hayes manual of that specific part or region of the engine- that would be great too-. thanks again- L

fan might just be wearing down if its that noisy, it does get kinda loud and will run for a bit while your car is off - just to cool everythinig back down, especially in this heat it wouldn't surprise me at all

If its wearing down- do i need to replace it? or is it because everything is expanded in my engine when its hot? Like could it be rubbing on something? Cuz it kinda sounds like I put a playing card in there or something- lol. Let me put it this way- after I got home, my car was parked outside about 50-75 feet away from my house and I could hear the fan with my front door and living room window closed tight :/

Check and make sure its not rubbing on anything... If some bolts are loose on the mounts the fans could have shifted...happened to me once.

haha yeah sounds like it is running a bit rough, i'd spin it around with your hand when it's off and see if it's hitting a wire or something, if it's just the fan making the noise, see if yuo can find an OEM replacement or an OEM one
