Default Hot tank or pressure wash?

i have a block that i would like to clean for a build. should i bring this out for a hot tank or just borrow my friend's pressure washer and wash it down? i think his pressure washer is 1200 or 2200 psi.

You should hot tank it, It will look better and cleaner your going to have to work your *** off to get it clean with the power washer.

If you don't have a hot tank bring it to my shop will throw it in for 30 minutes and see how clean it comes out.

It just depends on how clean you want it.... If you're happy with the pressure wash results, go with it.

since your friend is going to let you borrow it... why dont you try out the pressure washer first... and if that works than great but if it doesnt then send it to get hot tanked.

hook up the washer to warm water out of like a water heater or washing machine hot water outlet.
also, most pressure washers let you mix detergents in there. get off the clumps of grime by hand first, spray some safe stuff like simple green all over, and let it soak. then use the hot water and detergent mix. a few cans of brake cleaner to finish it off should be pretty good for most.
