do a search for dyno charts of lsvtecs.
They can range from around that of a stock gsr, to around 200 or so whp.
It all depends on how much mone you spend on it.
Also... Grammar would help a lot, that was very hard to understand.

ok gsr is a better choice in my opinion DONT FLAME HATERS but listen a gsr is a good start cuz its reliable and makes great hp stock and more if built its strong now a ls/vtec is cool but its a poor mans engine and ive had friends with ls vtecs blown many times leaks oil smokes like a cubar cigar and they only last if they are built right cuz if not you will blow it like my friend twice already gsr is more expensive but worth it and gsr will last longer cuz they r factory built right lsvtec is frankenstein ish but its your choice and budget
im sorry for tha people that dont understand ill make it clear ... 1999 acura integra LS with about 45,000 miles for $6,900$ or a 2000 acura integra GSR with 80,000 miles for $10,000$......whats a better bang for your money ?????.....

well one thing i know if you ever want to sell the gsr, will sell faster and youll get more $$$ out of a gsr than an ls in the long run but depends on your budget do what you think is right for you i always bought good model hondas like sir, si , gsr, type r and got more money outta them than an ls, or rs or dx you know do what you want

I agree with DOCHgarage I had a CRVTEC on my integra before "similar to LSV" didn't last me long. leaked oil like there is no tomorrow! Had it for about 4 months luckily I had my H22 that I salvaged from my previous car accident and slapped it on. Spend a lil more and get something that will last GSR would be a solid foundation. The only way I would go LSV is if i had to work with what I have. "im not hating on LSV it just takes good money to build a good lasting motor"

my bro had an ls/vtec and is still running to this day (3years) but it was built perfect and lots of cash but is kinda smoking now. my friend blew his lsv twice in less than a year!!! so go with a gsr or you can go with lsvtec and come back complaining??? if you know noting or very lil about lsv dont get into them my bro knew his ish so iono do whatever
well ill keep looking for a GSr see if i can find one with less mileage ....if not i might go with the ls/vtec .....45,ooo miles sounds good to me wit the ls ...but then again like u guys say it causes problems and dont last as long as A gsr ...
it definitely wont last as long as a gsr...
You can have a gsr engine last for over 200,000 miles, whereas an lsvtec may last 50k...
dont just get an lsvtec cause it sounds like teh cool thing to do, think about the long term..

Type clearer!! haha way too many ???????? and ..................
Get the GS-R. It comes nicely built from the factory. And you can always add HP quite easily.
Unless you want to make big power...then go with the LS and just slap a turbo on it.
LS/VTEC is fun, I plan to do it on my old LS motor and drop it into an EF, but I'm not planning to use it as a DD, just a dedicated track car, cuz I know it's not NEARLY as reliable as a GS-R or any other car that came from the factory.
Keep it simple for now! Good luck with whatever choice though.

go with gsr!!!!!!!!!! remember to check all of the serial numbers o the doors hatch and engine to make sure they are all the same and legit instpect the paint well and lips under the door molding and hatch and fender for any paint color changes or and past paint changes. good luck
Gsr = factory vtec, factory mass produced, proven reliability and longevity for over a decade, strong power potentials, plus more.
Ls-vtec = Not factory vtec, not factory mass produced, debated daily on reliability on longevity, strong power potentials depending on build, any more?
You do the math, research, reading.
GSR, hands down.
I've had 2 ls-vtec's, mild built and fully built. Still didn't perform as great when I swapped for a stock gsr.

Save up and wait for a GSR around your price range you're aiming for. I've seen some go for $7500 with clean title and under 90k miles.

your friend is an idiot if he blew up an lsvtec twice. you'd think he'd learn after the first time.
lsvtecs done the right way are expensive and to say only poor folks go lsvtec is such an ignorant statement. but hey, coming from a guy who's friend blew his lsvtec twice, im not expecting much. and people wonder why lsvtecs get such a bad name.

if you are trying to save money get the LS. I have a b20vtec and have been driving it for 2 1/2 years now . I have had 4 trips from upstate NY to jax, FL . I drive 50 miles to work everday and have made many many trips to canada, when i lived in NY. i didnt build the motor and internals are all stock. i have the basic bolt-ons I/H/E/IM. I just found out 2 weeks ago the chipped P28 ecu is junk my a/f is super high (18 on dyno) the guy didnt even want to rev my motor to 7500 rpm. I race sometimes but not much in FL(no mountains here
) i bought a hondata s200 and the ecu from a guy for 150$ so im going to finally tune my car since i put my engine together. i would say what i put down but i dont have the slip to back me anymore so that is that. If you go with the LS and do the lsvtec later use all honda tq specs.
