i have a 91 crx si and i wanted to change out my sunroof (problems) as all others


but i wanted to knwo if any of the glass sunroofs from earlier modles (eg, ek ect.)

if they would fit

i searched but only found that integras wont fit bc they go inside instead of up and out

any help would be appriciated

so your wanting to fix your sunroof but not with an Si one from another car??? That makes nooooooooo sense at all to me. Yes the integra would be easier to find but with an item like this do you REALLY wanna try and ghetto rig it in?? Just get the right one so you don't have to worry about leaks or any other stupid problems.

 

im just asking bc i can get one out of a civic for free thats why im asking, i dont have any money for a new one

 

u can male other models fit and take a shower then it rains

I had a full carbon-fiber roof on both sides...from the pictures that still using the bottom sheet-metal or am I wrong?

 

i dont believe another civic sunroof will work. you could probly make it work if ur willing to do some fab work but i dont know if it would be worth it. i lucked up and found a good working one for 25 bucks if i went to pull it out. what problems does ur sunroof have?

 

It will look best with an OEM replacement.

No it's not, it's just like a cf hood. I don't know much about how carbon fiber works but I believe the resin is what is on the back. Here is a picture of mine when I got it:

 

basically the only options are:
1. keep same rusting sunroof
2. buy a used sunroof in better condition that may eventually rust
3. buy a carbon fiber or fiberglass sunroof plug kit (replaces sunroof with a unopenable panel)
4. buy a carbon fiber or fiberglass sunroof panel off the website listed previously (also sometimes
on ebay and there is another seller)
5. weld in a roof skin off a DX of HF CRX

 

the sunroof is NOT rusted i just wanted to use a glass cap

and also the motor is shot ive taken out the switch and cleaned it / replaced it with known working one

i just asked the question bc i wantd to re[place the cap with a glass one not CF

what i was trying to say was if the opening for the sunroofs are the same (not the entire assembly)

so i could just switch out the caps

 

i have also tried to do this but did not find anyone that did a swap on it.

i guess the best bet is to get the cf one, but if you do find out what fits, let us know cause i rather have a glass sunroof also
