Default bad vibrations during acceleration

so my car has developed a bad habit of shaking very badly under hard acceleration. it is definetly rotational in nature it shakes the whole front end pretty bad. and the wierd part it is doesn't ALWAYS do it. some times it will some times it will shake very badly, and somtimes, nothing at all. i am very confused and perplexed. it is an automatic and the tranny was serviced at the local dealership about 2-3 months ago. umm...help?

i believe it may be a bad motor mount, or mounts. any auto guys ever have this problem? i really hope it's not my tranny or tc.

*edit: could this possibly be a bad balencer shaft belt?*

Dunno if it'll be the mount, usually it would shake like a ***** when stopped if it's the mount, but I dunno.

balance your tires

People! There are about a million different things that could cause a vibration...don't assume that your problem has anything to do with theirs and vice versa.

^^^ What he said. Could be any number of things. I know for myself it was partially alignment and partially my front rotors needed re-surfacing. My car still shakes slightly but only in 2nd gear. I've learned to live with it lol.

i just find that it's wierd that it shakes under power but not when i'm out of my power band. i could be in the bottom of any gear and it's fine, at the top i have to hold the wheel pretty tight. i do need to get the tires balanced but i don't think that's it...

Its not a mount cuz when u start it up it would start shaking real bad an would keep shaking, could be unbalanced tires, maybe u need some new ball joints or check all your suspension bolts and make sure they are tight cuz my buddy had a problem with that when he did his lowering springs some of the bolts came a little loose an had play which gave him bad vibrations

I quote myself AGAIN..."People! There are about a million different things that could cause a vibration...DON'T ASSUME THAT YOUR PROBLEM HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THEIRS AND VICE VERSA."

His car isn't your friend's car. Nor did he mention anything about being incompetent at lowering his car.

Use your brain and rely on actual facts and symptoms that the original poster mentions...not just what happen to your car, or your friend's car, or your neighbor's boat. We're trying to avoid unnecessary repairs...so don't fuel the problem with your ignorance or prior experience.

It might be the inner joint of the CV axle. I had a 94 legend that did that and my 95 lx wagon is doing the same. I'll change the shaft and update you all.

balljoints were replaced quite recently with greasable moog units (much nicer than oem). so i doubt it's them. everything will get retightened after i cut off my tanabe brace and change out my LCA's. (long story there).

wouldn't a C/V axle just get worse with speed? this seems to be almost entirely load based.
