Having some electrical problems with my 88 Sedan
Ok, here is the deal. I tried to wire in a new cd player, but realized I had the wrong harness. While I was taping over the solders, I accidentally turned the ignition on and some wires touched. My horn honked, the speakers made a loud static sound, and all the lights on the dash went on, but I quickly shut the ignition off. I cut all the wires, and put the stock am/fm/cassette harness back on and the radio works fine. I went through my in panel fuse box and replaced each and every fuse (colored 15, 20, 10 amp). Now here is where the problem is. My windows roll up and down very slow now, the radio cuts/volume goes down when I hit the brakes or use my signal. The clock dims when I hit the brakes and use the signal too. My temp gauge goes all the way to the red...I know...but while at the top, when I hit the brakes or roll the windows up/down, the needle moves further up but when I let off the brakes or window switch, it goes back down a little bit. WTF???

Sounds like you damage the car dash harness. I would pull it out and take a close look at it. It sounds like some of the wires got hot and melted. Your going to have to replace the damage ones. This has happend many times here. I cee it all the time.
