Default Quick Question, EX vs. EX-L

What the heck is the difference and how do you tell? What years does this affect?

Mostly 5th gens, the "L" just means leather.

5G never had a EX-L tag.

Are you sure? I was just on Honda Owner Link website and was submitting my car's model information and on the pull down menu there was a choice for "Accord EX Sedan Manual" and Accord EX-L Sedan Manual".

So I'm guessing the L just means leather? Nothing to do with the hardware or engine?

They are out there. Probably a dealer thing and not an official Honda option.

Well, on the 5G, they only offered 3 engine models: the F22B1, F22B2, and the V6 (I don't know the engine code, C27A1?). And the both F22 motors are covered under the same Helms manual.

the ex-l and ex-c have nothing to do with the engines... only the interior, this is why that they are covered by the same service manual. im sure that it was just a designation that dealers used to jack up the price a lil more for the leather interiors.

the extra L stands for leather. its used by honda to distinguish b/w the different accords when selling them.
