I would choose the Y8, since it's entirely made of metal, versus the D17's manifolds, which are mostly plastic.

What made you want ITB's, anyways?

all about problems not about solutions...ill def let u know how it turns out and when its runnin ill post vids...

still like to hear from someone on the actual fit of y8 manifold vs. stock d17a2 mani

I guess you kind of skipped over my post. I said that a Y8 manifold would work better than the stock D17A2 manifold, as a base for ITB's.

if you havent looked at the EMI section, you should. there are a couple of d16's running about 140-160whp with their ITB setups. Might not seem much but the throttle response OWNS, not to mention the noise. GL with the setup.

Yeah, to be honest, I like the idea of ITB's on a D17. I bet they'll be quite enjoyable. My only remaining bits of information pertain to the TPS sensor. It'll be difficult to make sure it reads properly, but other than that, you shouldn't see too many problems swapping over to the Y8-ITB's.

See if this helps: http://homemadeturbo.com/tech_....html
Personally, I would weld the runners to the throttle housings, instead of the rubber hosing he used, but either works. I would also use TB filters for each TB, to keep crap from getting into your engine.

It should be pretty nice when you get it all done. With a cleaned up bay, header/exhaust, and maybe some go-fast mods (bigger cam, higher compression pistons) you may see a solid 25-35whp. You may want to go with longer runners on the ITB's to help with fuel atomization.

dont forget AEM EMS youll need alot of fuel for those ITB's, especially when the weather changes. and as for the filters, you dont really need them unless your driving in a really really dirty place with good sized rock chunks everywhere. anything that gets sucked into your motor will just burn unless its a metal pipe or something lol

Haha, nothing like a metal pipe in the intake.
