I WAS WONDERING HOW MANY CRX'S OUT THERE THAT HAVE A FULLY FUNTIONAL S2000 CLUSTER...... ANYONE ON HT HAVE IT? PLEASE LIST MEMBERS OR ANYONE YOU KNOW THAT HAS IT DONE. I WANT EVERYONE WITH A CRX TO KNOW HOW RARE IT IS......I AM DOING THE SWAP NOW AND WHEN ITS DONE I WILL POST A DIY! I HAVE BEEN TAKING PICS ALONG THE WAY. SO LETS START A LIST.......ANYONE SO FAR??? MUST BE FULLY INSTALLED

I'm sure there is a few more, to make the speedometer work what type of adapter are you using for the speed pulse modulation change?

 

Sorry about the caps,lol.... I am going to use a converter that this guy online made. He invented them and there is a long wait list i hear. You also need a converter for the temp gauge to work incase you were doing a swap.

that was a classic weekend.

 

Once i get going on it again, i will put up some pics. Waiting on a piece to continue. I am going to do a right up of the exact wiring also.

 

lol i'd pay ryan to let me hump his car's exhaust. the sound of his car just turns me on. hahaha

its meeeeeee!

ryan has the cluster but the ******* multiplier thing sucks *** , its so inaccurate, whe he switches his turn signal on itll jump to like 190mph, often times it will read like 240mph and just constantly jump around. sometimes its pretty accurate tho, its intermitant.

 

i like the 190mph idle myself.


it only seems accurate when hes driving straight.

 

Where did ryan get his speedo converter from??? I heard they pick up noise very easily and thats the only way they can make them. They said tomake sure each wire is soldered and wrapped so not to pick up noise from other wires!!!!


And roastbeefrichie, Nomatter what you was trying to say with your pic,lol.....you are still the man for helping me with my NSX brake conversion. Let you know how it turns out....Thanks again

there's 2 gens of s2000 clusters
1st gen redlines @ 9K prm
2nd gen redlines @ 8K rpm
*i would go with the 1st gen...9K redline is balla!*

besides the redline differences, the wiring is different between the two gen of clusters too. make sure that the plugs and wires are provided in the back of the cluster. if you obtain a s2000 cluster w/o the plugs, please contact ryan @ rywire for plugs

you'll need to update your VSS, the one on your cable-tranny won't work w/ the S2000 speedo

my friend has it in his 91 hf the only thing that does not work is the speedo

 

Thats because he doesn't have the converter to make the speedo work.

 

I love that rex in that video is so sexy lol
