Default JDM B16 in a four door?

DOes anyone have this setup? its kinda weird, does anyones lag torque? how bad does the extra weight hold it back compared to the two door?

According to Edmunds, there is a 7 lb. difference in curb weight between a '98 EX coupe and sedan.

Before the anti-B16A crowd inevitably arrives and drags the thread down, suffice it to say that the car will perform comparably to a B16-powered coupe.

If you get a good deal on the b16, go for it.

Zippy little motor with good gearing.

Any future mods require turbo manifolds though,

I'll be nice

to the o.p., what about a b16 in a sedan is wierd? a lot of people do it, people have put b16's in pretty much every civic up till '01. not a bad setup at all

It's gonna be peppy but still not fast. I'd get a gsr/R bottom end and tune that mother

Yes, a B16 will lack torque, just like any other lower displacement Honda motor. However, if you just want a sporty ride that has an easy swap, go for it. If you're really worried about torque balancing out your four door, it may be worth looking into H and H2B swaps.
