Apexi auto timer A/F feature question

Apexi auto timer A/F feature question
i just installed a Apexi auto timer onto my '94 Si (z6). the A/F part of the auto timer desplays 20.0 untill about 4500rpms and then drops down to 10.0 and flashes red as i climb higher in the RPMs. can anyone tell me if this is normal?
do i need to adjust the settings on it maybe? if so can anyone help me with that because i know nothing about the settings.
this is on a NA Z6 but i know these are usually used on turboed cars so i figured this would be a good place to post it.
