2001 civic upgrade recomendations
I just joined and want a few tips on engine upgardes to speed up and add torque, also with my suspension.
from what i can see everything is still stock, except for a lip kit and rims that were already on...

First of please search this has been covered many times. Second nothing you do besides swap or boost will give you power. Second loose the crome wheels son.
Ditch the wheels for some lightweight ones, and you'll notice an increase right there. Something of the 16" or 17" size will be perfect for your car.
As far as power options, you're limited to two. Both of the options are costly, and can be time consuming to do on your own. These options are K-swap (don't ask about a B, H, or any previous gen D swap, because they won't work), or turbo (and you'll need a custom intake manifold for the job, if you want to hold more than 6-8lbs of boost).
Without spending ridiculous amounts of money (10's of thousands of dollars), there's no way to build a Naturally Aspirated D17. All the bolt-on's in the world won't amount to more than 15whp, and that's terrible value for money. So, don't bother asking for hp/tq figures for the standard "intake, header, exhaust" setups, because you can chock up their power gains to be the same as a change in air temperature with a stock setup (meaning 5-10whp).
PS. You could have found all the information I just posted in a 2 second search.

most of times those swaps are illegal duh.
why spend all that money when you could just have yourself a K that you know will fit and everything willl work

Actually, no company supports the swap, so seeing an example of them ever, is rather unlikely.
1. The ONLY engine/car combination that would be legal, would be a 2001 Civic with a 2001 Integra engine.
2. Since there is no company supporting the swaps, you'd have to custom make everything from the wire harness, to the engine mounts. This would cost a small fortune, and wouldn't be worth it since the K-swap would actually be financially cheaper.
