Like the topic says, what mph are you at, at 2nd gear redline?

 

Around 65, it's hard to say exactly from the stock gauges. I'll bet someone else knows the right number...

 

Here's the result of my test: (according to my fuel cut and speedometer)
1st - 38MPH
2nd - 68MPH
3rd - 98MPH
4th - 128MPH
5th - haven't test yet.

2nd gear (auto) top speed was 70mph @6500rpmz

that was a while back...

 

1st not sure

2nd gear 69 mph

3rd gear 100 mph flat

4th 132 mph so far (didn't hit redline yet)

5th well

also, i have a ls tranny.

 

you have a ls tranny in your gsr? (I'm assuming by your name) the previous owner of my car put in a LS tranny but I dunno why, maybe cuz it's cheaper but he replaced it at about 102k. I was just wondering how that affected the speeds at different gear/rpm's

My guess would be that the test is a top speed test. I got up to 142 in fifth and it didn't hit redline, I think it just was out of go. Man it takes a long time to get from 130 to 142!

 

Yep yep, the 5th gear (i.e. after 130MPH) is pretty weak. But nothing a SC won't cure...
