mini me smoking

Default mini me smoking

just got done with my mini me, its smoking bad +burning oil. its an a6 block with p29 and a y8 head. pitons and ring are not that old and was not somking in old set up. head has about 80k. runs good as hell but smokes badly. any ideas? help me out. could it be bad valve seals?

maby the valve seals in the new head r leaking? if you say its powerful and runs nice except the smoke that means the rings are not bad and its holding compression. i say valve seals.

yea im think it the seals too, cause i had a z6 head on before and it didn't smoke. dam this sucks, i just put this head on. any other ideas. u think some of that stop smoking crap u add will work? or hold me off for a wile? its not that big of a deal to put new seals in, but i hate to take everthing apart again

i dont know it that stuff will work in your case because if its as bad as you say that means that there cracked or completly worn, usually when valve seals are going bad they make the car smoke at start up and when the car warms up it goes away but in your case i dont kno what to tell you, i knew some one with a eclipse that had bad valve seals and i poured brake fluid in engine and it almost completly stopped. reason why i put the brake fluid in is because brake fluid makes rubber expand so it may possibly help your situation.

sounds crazy but its up to you if you want to try that.

it does sound crazy, but hay. did u run the car with brake fluid?, or just pour and drain?

thanks dude,is power steering fluid the same as brake fluid? thats all i have in the garage and im broke!!!

hey is it safe to pour brake fluid in ur engine?im throwing out lots of smoke to and i think it is the rings. Never heard of brake fluid in the engine tho. Sure its safe?

i duno about power steering fluid and this other guy with rings busted, i doubt anything short of an engine overhaul will help your situation.
