I just found this out today, looking on the KYB site, but it looks like KYB will not honor the lifetime warranty if there is any evidence that adjustable coilovers were used on the shocks. They consider that to be "product abuse". That in addition to the warranty only covering shocks with springs that lower no more than 1.5".
