Yep, don't get any of them, they just mess with the air/fuel ratio and your gas mileage goes to ****

why do you want a chip so bad? Is there an actuial purpose to chipping your ecu? or do you just want it because people talk about them?

reason why, I was going to start getting cat back exhaust, intake, header.
But people told me those stuffs will only give you least 10~15hp.
Lots of people told me to get the chip, thats the fast way getting more hp.

anyway, What AEM are you talking about?
could you tell me more about AEM please...

those people have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.

if your car is bone stock or even with I/H/E you don't really need a chip, you would only need it if you're doing tuning for like a turbo or what not

all the ebay chips are absolute garbage, and for the most part are just a 2cent resistor you put into your connector that'll throw your air/fuel ratio to crap

I forgot where I read it, but some guy asked one of those ebay sellers if their product was just a resistor in a box and they said no. He bought it, opened it up, and it was a resistor in a box. So don't waste 10 bucks on a resistor just because it has a fancy little box, ****, and sticker. Go buy a 2 cent resistor and stick it in the IAT.

Header, intake, exhaust will give you probably 20hp. That's the cheapest hp gain you're going to get. Spray will run about $650-750 for the kit installed. Then about 40 bucks a fill. If you can get a good used kit, you'll save a bit of money. Install it yourself and save more. You can run up to 75 shot on a stock motor with the ZEX wet kit. If you want 75 horse and don't want to buy a header or anything - spray is the way to go.

Turbo is expensive.

Jeez, your friends know even less about cars than you do. Stop buying crap and start doing some research into what mods actually give a performance gain. All these chips are total garbage, and if you use the search feature you will quickly figure that out and have all your other questions answered.

Bahaha!, not on a 4-cylinder Accord. Maybe on a V8.

There are some #'s with bolt-ons on an f23...

AEM CAI = + 4.7 HP
Greddy Exhaust = + 2.9 HP
DC Sports Header = + 3.5 HP

so that's like + 11.1 WHP WOOHOO!

all that realy matters is WHP, for stright line preformance that is. the aem managment runs about 2k so is realy only for a serious build N/A, or boost.

Assuming you plan to get quality parts, nitrous can still be cheaper. Lets break this down

AEM CAI - $269.03
DC Sports 4-1 header - $357
Apexi WS2 axel back - $525

Total - $1151.03
As previously posted, that will give you approximatly 12WHP.

Nitrous Express - 619.99 30-75HP added, and $531.04 saved. So, when you say that you cant afford nitrous, just break it down. 75 hp for $620, which is $8.26 per 1HP VS an advertised 44hp for all those parts installed, and it would cost you $26.16 per 1HP, I would say its a pretty clear cut case.

So, in conclusion, Nitrous the best bang for the buck performance in my opnion, and is no doubt a source for cheap HP

You can get the ZEX kit for about $600. I like it because it's WOT activated. It's done me good

Where have you been buying car parts, from Versace? An f'ing intake that's exactly like an AEM can be had on ebay for $50 and a DC header is the bottom of the barrel and shouldn't be any more than $150-200. Those prices are rediculous ....

Still the nos is the less expensive way....but maybe not the most plausible....this guy needs to think about his prorities....are you going for evryday driver....if so really build it with bolt ons....I really doubt he is skilled enough to install a nitous kit by himself. no offense man!

i'll share my experience, if you do decide to get a dc header go to auto anything, i got mine there last year for 287 including 10 % discount and free shipping and no sales tax. only down side is took them a month to get it to me but i think it was worth it for the price. also i think someone said it, get yourself a tune up and clean your egr chamber @ least you'll start by getting your stock horsepower back, by the way what year and model accord.

Those prices were taken directly from http://www.aempower.com and http://www.apexi-usa.com/. Just to recap, this is what I said.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by JDM_DC4_Fanatic &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

I never said those were the cheapest parts out there.
