Default electric super charger

have you guys seen this? anyone have this on there integra or no sumone who has it? let me know what u guys think of this. http://www.electricchargers.com/

my reasoning has always been if they work so well why dont big companies like hks and skunk or Jackson racing sell them. And also i think everyone would run one if they actually did what they claimed for such a low price. Id stay the hell away from em. The fact that u cant find any info is a big enough reason for me to never spend money on an electric super charger.

When I see misleading ad's for any product I tend to steer away. They tell you that your going to get 20% more hp just by buying there product. Even if the electric motor did spin fast enough to actualy force the air in, which I highly doubt it would at higher rpm's, you would still have to get it tuned and/or do fuel upgrades.

ok i email them and asked them for some specs for a b18a1 electric super charger this is what they gave me:

Extraneous sources have tested our units in lab, and have reported information
as follows:

Air Pressure : 1.256 PSI
Air Flow : 856 CFM
Power Consumption : 765 Watts
Spooling Rate : 27500 RPM
Size : 4"x4"x4"

kind of interesting actually. for 100 bucks, lets say it increases your HP by like...lets say 9 hp. thats still good for the money. i doubt it would yield the 20% the site claims, but i dunno. i am remotely interested in it

im sure the chip for it is a piece of **** and could even possibly destroy your motor.

do a search and see what everyone else has said about the electric superchargers.

the problem with electric FI is it takes so much power to run em you use up and hp gain in powering the unit.

oh snap i just remembered the guy across st. bought one and lied to his dad said its a computer fan and he wanted to put it on his corolla, but never did since he bought a BMW...

dude it may add a few hp but please just dont waste the money. make the car clean modded, i know some guy that has a riced 97 neon with one of those. its still slow, but thats beyond the point. just keep it clean and get a V2 if u want something like that
