Default Car is going nuts. WIRING PROBLEM

i put a new vss in my B16 CRX yesterday. back my car out of the garage and it stalls. go to start it and nothing. mess around with checking a bunch of stuff to see whats wrong. i get in it to try to start it again and i put my foot on the brake pedal with no keys in the ignition and the temp gauge goes all the way to hot and the check engine light , oil light , battery light and brake light come on.

Has this ever happend to anyone else?

there has to be a short some where but where do i start?

someone also told me it may be the main relay.

i have no idea wtf happend and i have no idea where to start to fix the problem.

You may have to take your cluster back out, sometimes you can see the short (burned) directly on the back of the cluster.....

Otherwise did you remove any grounds before you started messing with the VSS yesterday? double check those bad boys first.

I saw this problem after a battery ground was removed from the body. it shorts the cluster out.

Exactly the problem. i messed around with it tonight and realized that the ground to the body was finger tight. i think it might of vibrated loose. i feel like an idiot now though because i thought there were major problems.
