b16 vs b18b dipstick tube length

b16 vs b18b dipstick tube length
ok anyone know if there is a difference? Because i am currently running a b16 tube and ls dipstick on my b20 ( which came with the tall giraffe manifold and tall dipstick tube) and it doesnt read any oil.
