Default check engine light.

today on the way home work right when i got off the freeway i noticed that my check engine light was on. but there was no change in anything. When I got home and came to a stop i notice that my idle was around 1200 and wasn't droppin to normal operating idle. so i turn the car off and unplugged the tps and then plugged it in again. started it up and the light went away. just weird just the first time thats ever happened since i got my swap. by the way i have a d15b vtec in a 91 si. everything is converted to obd-1. what do you think the problem could be. im afraid that the tps wasn't it and it will just happen again.

se if you can try to pull a code from the ecu. sometimes the light does not have to be on to get one. or just wait to see if it happens again and scan it then. but if the light went off and it's normal that could have been your problem.

With ignition off, insert jumper wire in two wire service check connector terminal, located behind right side of dash, Turn ignition on and ount flashes on Check Engine Light.

Long Flashes stand for Double Digits 10 , 20, 30 ,40 etc
Short flashes stand for single Digits 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc
