The best thing to do is to go to an OEM Parts dealer (slhondaparts, hondapartsdeals, etc), open 2 browser windows, go to the system for your car, go to the same system for the other car, and compare part numbers.

One catch is that some sites only list parts that are available. In light of this, don't just assume that because a component isn't on the list, that it's not part of the system...

But it will give you a much better idea of what the REAL differences are, as opposed to relying on the sometimes inaccurate responses from the participants here.

Something to get you started (adjust the body type, etc, for what you need)...

Default Re: Using Online OEM Parts Dealer Lists to Contrast Models

I forgot to mention another thing...

A difference in a PN listing doesn't always translate into a "need for swap" item. There are some occasions where it is reccommended that you keep/reuse an original part while changing other parts of a system. Each case is its own case.

Other than that, My $.02 is that you should always keep as much Original Equipment on your vehicle as possible. Unfortunately, it's catching on and I hate being considered "trendy"...

Time to start shopping for a Whale ***** and Body Kit!

The problem with that idea is some parts are fully interchangeable and can be used on his DX even though they don't have the same part number as his stock part.

This should help on the differences though. Lots of parts from the EX can be used on the DX or other trims. Sometimes you might not be able to put that one wanted part onto the DX without other parts from the EX or another trim though.

The EX and Si also have painted rear license plate garnishes, where the DX has a black unpainted one. Guess I forgot to add that.
