Default NA newbie build question about the crank....

I did some searching, and didnt find what i wanted, sorry if its a repost.
Motor: b18c(jdm gsr)
Plans for internals are for proseries cams stg 1 or2, sk2 valvesprings, retainers, valves, ITR or b16 pistons.

all the basic bolts on including im. and tb.

When would you need to upgrade crankshaft? how much can the stock crank take safely?

Your help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

For the upgrades you're doing / have planned the stock crank will be fine...

Stock honda cranks are used on 1200hp motors. What makes you think your basic build needs a different crank?

Mircopolish and balance it and call it a day

bingo. only other reason to replace the stock crank is if you want to run a bigger than stock (92mm+) stroke.

Nuff said, stock honda cranks are used for many high HP hondas.

I wouldn't pay $150 for a balance and micro polish, just take it to a local place.

Dan Benson has by far one of the best balancing out there. Only reason i would send it seperate from a block is because of the wait time. Other then that i would totally send it to Laskey for the balance.
