D16y8 harness plug questions
I have a 98 Civic Ex that originally came with an OBD2A D16y8. I swapped it out for a B16 but am rebuilding that so i bought another OBD2A D16y8 engine and OBD2A D16y8 harness to put in there while i rebuild the B-series.
i bought the harness and engine from different people. i just finished plugging in the wiring harness and i have a few questions because there's some extra plugs that shouldn't be there and i don't know why.
i know the harness is OBD2A because it fits in my OBD2A ECU. I have my original D16y8 harness but some of the plugs are converted to B-series so i didn't use that.
here are pictures of the differences, see if you can help me out:
ORIGINAL D16Y8 HARNESS (notice it has 3 plugs for the ECU- 2 gray and 1 blue:

NEW D16Y8 HARNESS (there is an extra gray plug on the ECU side of the harness):

---DRIVER'S SIDE---
ORIGINAL HARNESS (only has one plug)

NEW HARNESS (has same exact plug as original harness but also has an extra plug and i have nowhere to plug it in)

---IACV----
ORIGINAL HARNESS (there's a 2 pin connector that fits up to the IACV)

NEW HARNESS (i don't know if it goes to the IACV but the only plug i couldn't find a place for is a 3 pin connector that doesn't fit the IACV on the D16y8 i picked up)

There are also a few extra plugs on the tranny side of the engine.
so can i just leave the extra plugs unplugged or what? does anyone know what this harness is from? the guy i bought it from said he just pulled it out of a 96-98 civic ex. there's a lot of wires on that one plug going to the ECU so i'm sure if i left that unconnected, it would cause some kind of problem.
and what about the IACV? how do i rewire the 3 wire plug to fit the 2 wire connector on the intake manifold?
if anyone can help with any of the questions i have or help identify the harness that'd be great, i really want to get this running asap. thanks a lot.

you picked up a automatic d16y8 harness..
you dont need to use those extra plugs...just plug up the ones that you need and convert it to 2 pin IAVC..

oh ok, awesome. so how do i rewire the IACV plug if i'm going from 3 wires to 2? do i just leave one out or what?
EDIT: ok, they both have yellow and blue wires but the A/T harness has an extra orange one, i'm guessing i just leave the orange one out, correct?
